Growing Community - book review - word-on-the-web

So what is it about?	It is looking at the use of small groups with young people as a way of building community within those groups.
Who is it for?	It’s for anyone who works with young people and wants to help build community. It’s done in the form of small groups which some people might already have but works of with the cell church model and gives ideas of how to make community using them.
Does it do what it says on the label?	This seems to be a well thought out and put together book. It is in three main sections, developing groups, leading groups and resourcing group. These are also sub sectioned which is a great help if you only have the time to dip in and out of the book.
Enjoy or endure?	Enjoy. It is clearly set out with useful headings which made it easy to pick up and put down and has some great practical stories of how things have worked for the writer.
Any other comments?	At the end of each chapter there is some ‘homework’, which is a place you can stop and think over what has been said and how it might impact on you and the group you want to create.
