| So what is it about? | This book looks at youth ministry in a postmodern culture - Asking questions like what does it look like? How can we be more effective? - This is not 'ready meals' for Friday youth group programme but if you want to look at the big picture of youth ministry today this is good stretching stuff. |
| Who is it for? | This is a book for youth leaders, some of it is a bit mind bending but its not too heavy and is worth a little bit of effort. It's helpful at raising issues even if you don't agree with the conclusions. |
| Does it do what it says on the label? | The really good thing about this book is that not only do you get Tony Jones' ideas you get the comments of others on it. Its like listening in on a conversation. |
| Enjoy or endure? | I think there are some real 'nuggets of truth' in this book. It's definitely worth reading if you're involved in leading young people, it'll give you loads to think about. |
| Any other comments? | If you read from Preface to Epilogue its 224 pages but there's plenty of space on each. It's an interesting lay out with interesting ideas. |
