City on a Hill, Sing Alleluia - Various

Describe it in 20 words Worship project featuring big names in mainly laid back worship.  Cool and new but not as radical as some things around.
Big Themes/Standout Tracks After a choir opening to put off the youth group 'Sing Alleluia' is a strong collection.  The title track is a powerful performance by Jennifer Knapp, Mac Powell and Nichole Nordeman.  There are 3 songs that blend together at the end of the album creating a modern community setting. It's simple and could work well for a thoughtful worship event.  Other names here include; Jars of Clay and members of Caedmon's Call.  If you want some cool worship here it is, and for once its not shallow!
Anything that lets it down In some places the Christian jargon is rather heavy but this is aimed at the church not really outside it, so we'll be forgiving.  It won't turn on most teenagers but it is quality.
Who it sounds like The names recorded here give a good clue to the style - Derri Daugherty (the choir), Jennifer Knapp, Caedmon's Call, Phil Keaggy adn Bebo Norman.
